Yesterday in the sweltering heat of a stunning summer (for once), Griffins held the findings seminar for the work of fellow Alice Moore at Welsh Women's Aid, Cardiff. Alice presented her report on 'Exploring the impact of the Housing (Wales) Act 2015 on women involved in the criminal justice system', to an audience of representatives from the Welsh Government, the MOJ, local Welsh councils, Housing, probation, police and the crime commissioners office and a number of voluntary sector organisations working in this area. Academic Dr Iolo Madoc-Jones from Glyndwr University, was the event Chair and respondent. Dr Madoc-Jones conducted a recent evaluation of homelessness services to adults in the secure estate (in Wales) for the Welsh Government, and he commended Alice's work as an important addition to the evaluation because it looked specifically at women offenders.
