We sponsor research to bring about change in how women and girls are dealt with in the criminal justice system

Impact Studies

The Griffins Society is committed....

....to ensuring that the practical recommendations emerging from the Fellows' research are actively taken forward through the development of partnerships with the criminal justice statutory agencies, the voluntary sector and other external partners where appropriate.

Where recommendations have developed into full-blown projects, the details are included here and we will be adding more of them with time.

Impact Study 1 - The SWIP Project

" Kirsty’s Griffins research will have as its legacy: the first real opportunity for women who have substance misuse and sex working histories, to access a specialist package of care, within a residential setting. This work deserves national recognition and promotion and The Nelson Trust is committed to ensuring that women within this cohort, across the UK, have access to this amazing programme (developed by Kirsty on the back of her Griffins Fellowship).
