Emily is the Violence Against Women and Girls Strategy Lead at the Home Office, and has responsibility for overseeing and taking forward the government's strategy. She runs the Violence Against Women and Girls service transformation fund and works with partners and local commissioners to improve services locally.
She has previously worked in the Cabinet Office, coordinating immigration policy across government, and as an operations manager in a DWP benefits centre. She has also worked in an NHS clinical commissioning group managing hospital contracts for southern Derbyshire.
Emily has a MA in war studies where she specialised in understanding the use of sexual violence in conflict, and the effect of trauma on female soldiers.
