Dr Nicola Carr is an Associate Professor in Criminology and co-director of the Criminal Justice Research Centre, at the University of Nottingham. She is the editor of the Probation Journal and the co-convenor of the European Society of Criminology’s Working Group on Community Sanctions and Measures.

Prior to becoming an academic Nicola worked as a probation officer in adult services and in youth offending teams in London.
